Uniform, PE kit and spare clothes

School uniform

Our school uniform is compulsory and children are required to wear uniform every day.

Our uniform consists of:

  • a green cardigan or jumper
  • a white polo shirt/tee-shirt
  • black or grey trousers
  • black or grey skirt/pinafore
  • black shoes
  • a green summer dress in the warmer months

Our uniform supplier is Uniform Direct on Babington Lane - https://www.uniform-direct.com/acatalog/Oakwood-Infants.html - alternatively, non-branded uniform can be purchased from most supermarkets.  Please see our School Uniform Policy for further details.

P.E. kit

On P.E days children come to school dressed in their P.E kit. We do not have a specific P.E kit and just ask that children come to school in appropriate sportswear, depending on the time of year this could be tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie or a t-shirt and shorts. As a lot of our learning is outside it is recommended that children wear trainers rather than canvas plimsolls.

Spare clothes and wellies

The Reception year involves a lot of hands on, sensory and messy play which means that children sometimes get wet or dirty. To ensure that all children can participate fully in all learning experiences we ask that at the start of each year a bag of labelled spare clothes is sent in with each child. The children keep these on their coat pegs and can access them as and when they need.

We do outdoor learning everyday and we do go outside in all weathers. To help ensure that children can stay dry and safe please send a pair of wellies in to school with your child. These stay in school on our welly rack and children access them when they want to play in the outdoor water area or the mud kitchen, when they have forest school and when it rains or snows.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT EVERY ITEM OF CLOTHING OR FOOTWEAR IS LABELLED WITH YOUR CHILD'S FIRST AND LAST NAME AS WELL AS THEIR CLASS.
