Natasha's Law

Natasha's Law came into effect on 1st October 2021 and applies to any food business that produces PPDS food, primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities, and nurseries that provide food. Under new legislation, any pre-packaged food must be labelled with the foods name and an  ingredients list that emphasizes the 14 allergens.

Any 'loose' food such as the snack available for the children doesn't require a label but needs to meet the current allergen information requirements for non-prepacked food. We keep all of the snack time allergy information in a folder which is available to view upon request.

Birthday/celebration sweets

We appreciate that there may be some special times throughout the year when children may wish to bring sweets or chocolate in to share with their friends (e.g birthdays), please may we ask that children only bring in prepacked sweets such as haribos which can then be handed out at the end of the day before children go and see their parents or guardians. Please understand that we cannot accept any homemade or individual sweets as this will not comply with Natasha's Law or current allergen requirements.
