ClassDojo is a school communication platform that teachers and families use every day to build close-knit communities by sharing what's being learned in the classroom home through photos, videos and messages.
As well as having a main school page where notices, announcements and reminders are shared, each class has their own individual DoJo page. The online classrooms are created and parents are then invited to connect to the class through an individual, personalised link. Once connected, parents can see their child's class page where teachers will share updates and photos about what the children have been doing at school. It is important to note that these pages are not public, they are private and can only be viewed by connected staff and by parents of children in the same class.
Once connected, parents will be able to make use of the direct messaging section that allows them to directly contact their child's class teacher. This is a very useful tool that supports effective communication between home and school.
DoJo points
At school children have the opportunity to earn DoJo points if they are trying hard and doing excellent learning. The children can achieve a DoJo point for 'talking partners', 'good work' or 'taking part.' The children collect these throughout the year and receive certificates when they reach a multiple of 10.
