Nursery Applications (In Year and 2023)
Oakwood Infant and Nursery School admits children to our Nursery the term after their third birthday.
We offer a choice of free 15 hour places at the start or end of the week or extended funded 30 hour places Monday-Friday, subject to eligibility.
Our main Nursery admissions are in September each year, however, we may be able to offer your child a place to start in either the January or April following their third birthday, subject to availability.
We are taking new applications for January 2023 starts for extended funded 30 hour places and free 15 hour start of the week and 15 hour end of the week places.
If your child is eligible for a 30 hour or 15 hour place, please contact the school office for further details of the application process.
From September 2022, we are also able to offer a number of additional paid sessions over and above the free 15 hour universal entitlement. Please contact the school office if you are interested in taking up this option.
Parents who would like their child to have a Nursery place can contact us by telephone on 01332 574192 or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org to place their child's name on the Nursery waiting list.
Alternatively, you can obtain more information and download a copy of our current Nursery Waiting List form from our 'Nursery' webpage under the 'Information for Parents' tab at the top of the school website.
In the event that applications for our Nursery exceed the total number of places available, the school follows the same admissions criteria as for Derby City Council primary school admission arrangements.
