In Geography we aim to help children make sense of their immediate surroundings and the wider world including the continents and oceans. We look at our local environment, identifying how buildings are used and the different types of homes used. We begin simple map making and look at geographical features. In Year 2 children compare their locality with that of a locality in another part of the world.
