School Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.

Our School Council currently has 12 members, 2 pupils from each class in Year 1 and 2 who have been nominated by their class.

The School Council meets once every half term and the meetings last about half an hour.

Each class is given a book in which all school council topic/discussions are recorded these are then feedback to the  class which they then discuss.

School Council have their own notice board in the small hall where the other children and staff in school know who represents their own class.

Below are examples of previous topics which the school council have been involved in:

  • Re-wording of the school rules.

  • Visiting Nursery children to discuss and show healthy lunch boxes.
